The average annual property tax rate in the U.S. is 2.0%, almost double of that of Utah, where it stands at 0.67% of the property value, placing it among the 10 States with the lowest property taxes.
The average annual property tax rate in Florida and Texas is 1.02% and 1.86%, respectively, while the average rate in the U.S. is 1.19%. By comparison, the annual property tax rate in Texas counties is 2.77 times higher. The average annual property tax rate in the U.S. is 2.0%, almost double of that of Utah.
Property appreciation in the state of Utah over the 2018-2019 period averages +14%, as opposed to an average of +7% in the U.S. as a whole.
